Vegas or San Diego?

After Saturday's mess, and looking forward to the last month of the season, we can begin to look forward to the postseason with some clarity. It looks like TCU will win the MWC, and if it does, they will go to a BCS bowl. If Utah wins out (or loses to BYU), they are headed to the Las Vegas Bowl as the Utes' would be their first choice. Vegas would love to have BYU for another year, but they realized the fan base is tired after four straight years. Bronco and the Commish have both said BYU would like a change of scenery...

Which leads us to the Poinsettia Bowl. I mean, the Poinsettia Bowl!!! I know, it's hard to get up for a bowl that actually pays out less than the LV Bowl. But, with TCU jumping Boise and with the PAC-10 most likely not getting enough teams to bowl-qualify, that would leave Boise St. headed to San Diego to face the Cougars on December 23rd. That would be a fun game to watch, a game with absolutely no defense. There's a possibility BYU would get slaughtered in that game...

Poinsettia Bowl

SD would be a better fan experience, and if the Pac-10 does not have enough teams then Boise could be a possibility. However, the Humanitarian Bowl may not want to give up their home town team again to San Diego. I think since Idaho is bowl eligible the Humanitarian bowl might be ok to lose Boise if they get Idaho to play and still get a sell out.
