BCS Academic Top 25
Interesting stuff from By Ben Miller and Lindsey Luebchow. They take the BCS Top 25 and reorder them with academics as a component of the equation. Utah moved up to 6th, TCU dropped down to 11th, and BYU stayed pretty even at 13th. What shocked me most was Boise State at 4th. What's in those taters? I thought all the Broncos were illiterate. I was also shocked that Texas dropped to 25th. I guess Austin needs more tutors.

I'm not totally sold on this...
It sounds and looks as wacky as the real BCS. Even at 3.1 Texas is 25th? So everyone else (the other 100 schhols) are between 3.1 and 0? Maybe I’m not be looking at this correctly but I’m pretty sure that neither BSU or TCU should even be an honorable mention.
I find it funny that a title winner 2 years in a row (BC,according to them) suddenly drops off the map academically… if this were legit then Boston College would be looking for a completely new administration.
Utah has dumbed down classes...
..thus a higher GPA. Everyone knows a Pizza > Ute grad at feeding a family of 4.
Thanks for that...
Really interesting stuff. If the academic status of a school is a major ingredient in conference expansion, there’s no reason TCU, Utah, BYU and as much as I hate to say it, Boise St., don’t deserve to be in a BCS conference.
