Question for you BYU fans.

What is the injury situation?  I heard about Reynolds today.  I hope he's better soon, because I'd like to see you have some success OOC and he's an important part of that.  I've also heard that several other players have been injured.  Are a lot of players seriously hurt and possible to miss games?  The Utes have been lucky so far this year because we don't have any serious camp injuries right now (I'm keeping my fingers crossed).

Reynolds'

injury doesn’t appear to be too serious. No word yet on whether he’ll miss the Sept. 5th game against the Sooners. Brandon Howard, who was supposed to be one the the top DB’s this season is out for the year with a broken leg. Other than that, no major injuries to report from camp – certainly none to the more well known players (Hall, Unga, Pitta, Jorgensen, etc.)…

In terms of other recent injuries

nothing is as significant as Reynolds’. LB Terrence Hooks has an injured hamstring but should be ready to go against Oklahoma – as should DB Brandon Bradley, OL Houston Reynolds, S Blake Morgan, LB Grant Nelson, LB Dan Van Sweden, and DB Robbie Buckner – all of whom are fighting minor injuries during camp that shouldn’t be of major consequence come September. Hope that answers your question more thoroughly.

A little correction

Brandon Howard left the program, but broke his leg back in 07… as for the rest of the guys, here’s the most update list (none of which appear to be too serious):
OL Matt Reynolds (broken hand)

ILB Terrance Hooks (hamstring)

OLB Grant Nelson (shoulder separation)

CB Brandon Bradley (knee tendinitis)

CB Robbie Buckner (hamstring—precautionary; participated in most of practice)

In addition, the following projected second-teamer was also out:

OL Houston Reynolds (quad strain)

Injured third-stringers or lower:

S Blake Morgan (hamstring)

ILB Dan Van Sweden (hip flexor)
