Cougars Beat Rams 42 - 23
"We were certainly opportunistic in the first half and made crucial plays through execution in the second half. You have to make the right plays at the right time and our players did that. It was a good victory for us." - Bronco Mendenhall

No doubt our star was Unga but....
Pitta just seems to be our clutch machine. He made some big catches when we needed him too. I also liked Chambers play this week… no fumbles!!!!!!!
Yes Indeed
Pitta is a clutch machine—but does anybody else see him getting into a bad habit of just falling down after he’s made a catch? Perhaps that’s do to Hall throwing it almost into the ground every throw…
I noticed that for the first time Chambers wasn’t wearing forearm sweatbands. I bet he thinks his fumble issues are happening because the ball just slips right off the fabric—could be true, actually.

Exactly what I'm talking about
My friends and I were talking about this exact issue during the game. Pitta is 6’5" and I’m guessing more than a 7’ wingspan and he is having to dive or fall down to make the catch. I don’t know, everyone always talks about Max Hall’s Accuracy, but I think it has more to do with his receivers talent than his ability to put the ball on cue.
I vote to bench Hall....
8 Interceptions in 4 games! That means he is on track for 26 this season if we go to a bowl game, and unlike our defenses interceptions which always come off of tips, his are due to his inability to look off the defense. I would much rather get Riley Nelson in there who can give us that duel threat of pass and run while getting us some experience for next year. In my opinion 1 good drive this year does not forgive Max Hall for 14 interceptions & 3 fumbles in the last six games (going back to last year).
