USC Linebacker, Kaveinga, transferring to BYU
In what is probably a first, USC is losing a football player to BYU.
Uona Kaveinga (6-0 245 LB) originally committed to UCLA, then BYU in 2008. But at the last minute, he changed his allegence to Pete Carroll. He played two years with the Trojans but wasn't a starter. Now, the LA Times and totalbluesports.com are reporting that the former Leuzinger HS (Lawndale, Calif.) standout will enroll at BYU in January. He will have to sit out the 2010 season and, as I understand it, will have two years to play.
