I don't know what it is but...

I’m not as nervous for tonight as I was Thursday. It’s probably because the first-round nightmare is over and just being in the second round is relief enough.
In my preview I wrote BYU matches up really well physically at all positions, except at center. But that’s not a concern because KSU’s center may as well be a walking zombie—he is absolutely useless, as mentioned by a K-State fan on this blog yesterday: Colon is ineffective at both ends is so sadly true. Of course Frank Martin is a mad man and I love him but no one knows why Colon starts let alone plays. Hopefully good Clemente shows up with some patience, thats the key to this game because if he goes bad Clemente this might be an ugly one.
Hoping to see the Cougs in SLC, baby!!!

So the baseball games got cancelled so I ain't done adding yet

I’ll say this for Colon he does hustle a lot, what does that mean I don’t know but we might get a 6 point scoring outburst at some point from him which is what he does then he goes back to being Luis Colon. Here’s to Jamar Samuels not playing like a baby like he apparently did aganist North Texas.

And on the 3rd year he rose again...

Kansas State is getting some....

..very favorable calls so far.

The ‘and 1’ foul call off the triple team, two out of bounds plays gone their way that were just grossly miscalled….

by Smills9133 on Mar 20, 2010 5:56 PM PDT reply actions

Ouch.

Good break, but hate to see it happen.

by Wilder. on Mar 20, 2010 6:00 PM PDT reply actions

There are some seriously BS calls being laid down...

…Tavernari was in the air, but was to the SIDE of the shooter who leaned his body laterally to actually hit him. That’s should have been an OFFENSIVE foul, not 3 free throws. Total BS.

by Smills9133 on Mar 20, 2010 6:19 PM PDT reply actions

Have to make those layups.

by Wilder. on Mar 20, 2010 6:24 PM PDT reply actions

Seriously!

I’m glad I’m not the only one seeing bigotry on national tv. These non calls for BYU and the. The sensitive ones going for KSU.

by vaughnzipper on Mar 20, 2010 7:00 PM PDT via mobile up reply actions

Nice non call for Hartsock!

Can these refs make it any more obvious?!???!

by vaughnzipper on Mar 20, 2010 7:06 PM PDT via mobile reply actions

We need these fouls.

We need to get to the line ASAP.

by Wilder. on Mar 20, 2010 7:08 PM PDT reply actions

They are calling everything against BYU!!!

I can’t believe how these refs are calling this!

by vaughnzipper on Mar 20, 2010 7:13 PM PDT via mobile reply actions

How is that a foul?

All ball on a up-for-grabs ball.

by Wilder. on Mar 20, 2010 7:35 PM PDT reply actions

We should have won this game.

So frustrating the refs are so bias and we make the stupidest mistakes in the big moments.

by Wilder. on Mar 20, 2010 7:37 PM PDT reply actions

I blame the camera director.

We shouldn’t be looking at him at all with his team up.

by Wilder. on Mar 20, 2010 7:38 PM PDT up reply actions

Respect Frank

Yeah he’s intense but it works well with our players, the guy is all around class. Sure he looks like he’s just trying to get attention but really he’s just a very quick tempered guy like when he accidentally punched chris merrieweather earlier this year and immediately apologized.

And on the 3rd year he rose again...

by EMAWrising on Mar 21, 2010 12:00 AM PDT up reply actions

Unfortunately the difference in the game is the end of the 1st half

I can’t wait to see them come to ESA and get booed all day!

by vaughnzipper on Mar 20, 2010 7:47 PM PDT via mobile reply actions

Well, as disapointing as that was,

at least we finally got that first-round monkey off our back and didn’t embarrass ourselves in the 2nd round.

by holly96 on Mar 20, 2010 8:13 PM PDT reply actions

Agreed

As much as the loss stings I think those that picked BYU have to feel somewhat satisfied with picking them. No one could have predicted that Pullen was going to hit 7+ 3’s from 35-37 ft out.

Outside of the big run at the end of the half it was a very good game and BYU kept themselves in contention the whole game. More than UNM can say…

by vaughnzipper on Mar 20, 2010 8:44 PM PDT up reply actions

Pullen

Pullen and Clemente are either completely off sometimes or dead on all night thats why our 3 point shooting percentage is bad they launch a lot of 3’s. Anyway good game and now that we got our revenge for the 96’ Cotton Bowl I can sleep peacefully haha.

And on the 3rd year he rose again...

by EMAWrising on Mar 21, 2010 12:02 AM PDT up reply actions

Heh.

So now we’re even?

by holly96 on Mar 21, 2010 10:16 AM PDT up reply actions

WOW...

KSU fan here. Came over to get your perspective of a very well played game last night. Instead I see that you guys are pretty classless and have little or no clue about basketball. That is all. EMAW!!
