Cougars fall short, finish season 30-6 overall
"We have some disappointed coaches and disappointed players because we wanted to keep playing. We have a lot to work on in the offseason to improve on this. We always work on closing halves and it's so important but it got away from us. We battled, our kids played extremely hard."
"One thing Coach (Rose) told the team in the locker room was these guys, Jonathan Tavernari, Lamont Morgan, Jr. and Chris Miles put us on the map. He told Tyler [Haws] that he'll leave for two years and the team will be even better. The future is really, really bright. It'll hurt for a while, but we're ready for next year." -

Worried about the wrong thing
While the national focus was all about the guard match-up of Fredette vs. Pullen-Clemente, I figured I’d worry about the Wildcat’s front-court and that they might be able to push our bigs around, thus freeing up their deadly duo to work us to pieces. I’d say our frontcourt put in a solid effort today, and everyone in attendance witnessed the Pullen Clinic, and he didn’t need much help from anybody to put it on us. A lot of fans are upset about the refs calling the game so loosely, leading to Fredette-frustration and NCAA-sanctioned muggings, but whaddya do? One minor consolation — no other 7-seed even made it past the first day.
