Oops! Harvey Unga Leaving BYU

Unga_moeaki_medium

Well, you wouldn't expect to hear HUGE news about the football team on a Friday night in April but here it is: HARVEY UNGA IS WITHDRAWING FROM BYU DUE TO AN HONOR CODE VIOLATION. In a rather non-ironic side note, BYU women's basketball player and Harvey's girlfriend of three years, Keilani Moeaki, is also withdrawing from school because of an honor code violation.

Harvey! C'mon, man!

Man, that is the biggest coincidence I’ve ever heard. Who woulda thunk! Both are withdrawing, and they happen to be in a 3-year relationship? Crazy world we live in.

My swag was phenomenal.

UGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

10 wins was going to be a stretch for us. The only positive I see is that Quezada will pick up some serious mileage as a freshman.

I bet they didn't do their home/visiting teaching.

what happened? abuse? sex in public????

Well,....

Probably not abuse because both withdrew and certainly not sex in public because they initiated the withdrawing from school—they were not turned in. I hate to speculate too much, but a dating couple of 3 years and engaged last summer before calling things off, only to get back together a little while ago, would lead one to think the only plausible Honor Code violation would be some sort of sexual escapade. But, it could have been drugs or alcohol…or cheating on a final exam.

What do we do moving forward?

I’d be interested to see what y’all think about our new running game options. Di Luigi and Kariya don’t seem to me like feature backs, and what do we do since we don’t have Tonga anymore either? People are talking about a silver lining being that this opens the door wide open for Quezada — but I’m hesitant to believe the true freshman could pull off a Dion Lewis.
