Max Hall: The Best Arizona Cardinals QB
During halftime of the Notre Dame game, Peter King from SI.com was on talking about the Arizona Cardinals cutting Matt Leinart. He said Ken Wisenhunt told him that the decision was as much about Max Hall as it was Matt Leinart, and that Max Hall was the best quarterback during camp. Max Hall is second string.
How about that. Max Hall forced the situation. Max Hall beat out a Heisman Trophy winner, a National Championship winner, an NFL vet.
He just might end up having the best NFL career out of all BYU quarterbacks, except Steve Young.

You must not know much about Peter King.
Feel free to catch up on who is here.
As for Max Hall, beating out Matt Leinart isn’t saying much. Yeah, he has Heisman trophy, but so does Troy Smith. And cutting Leinart doesn’t mean Hall is going to be the starting quarterback. It does mean, however, that Arizona is comfortable with Hall as a backup— just like John Beck is currently and what Ty Detmer lasted 14 years in the NFL doing.
I wish the best of luck to Max Hall, but I don’t foresee him becoming a good NFL quarterback. And four preseason games against third string players isn’t an accurate gauge of how he will play in the regular season.
Congrats to Max...
But let’s let him take a regular season snap before we suggest that he’ll be better than a SB winning QB.
He may get a shot, however. People in AZ are used to Warner’s accurate passes. Derek Anderson has to play well to keep the coaches and fans happy. Backup QB is always the most popular guy on the team, especially after the coach makes comments like these.
