What Thursday will tell

While doing the dishes I started to make a mental list of all the wonderful things Thursday could mean. Here is what I came up with.

1-All those K. Walker fans who said if KW was in the MWC he would be putting up 30 pts a night too. Well now you have got your chance. Jimmer put up 43, 25, and 30 against SDSU.

2-SDSU and BYU essentially play at the same time on Thursday. Which game will the nation watch? I think I know and thus proving why BYU's loss to the MWC is so detrimental. And also why I think we should be just fine as independents. Huge fan base.

3-While I think Jimmer Fredette is possibly bigger than Danny Ainge to BYU fans; winning this game will silence any doubters and eliminate even the need for comparison.

4-Win in New Orleans against Florida ought to cement NPOY for Jimmer

5-Win in New Orleans would be the biggest win in BYU history and the makings of a cinderella run to Houston.

Feel free to add what else Thursday will mean. I am getting so pumped. I may have a hard time sleeping tonight.

1&2 - Lucky there's an invention called a tv remote and DVR so I can watch both at the same time

3 – A win in this game will definitely cement Jimmer’s place at the top of BYU lore.
4 – Even without the win, he should be NPOY.
5 – I don’t know if BYU could technically be a cinderella since they are a 3 seed but even as that high of a seed the “experts” had BYU as an underdog vs Gonzaga.

They are a 3 seed but they talk about them like they are an 8 seed.

1. I’d like to mention that the second point total was because his teams steped up big time, I’d say that was our best team oriented game of the year. And the third he was tired, 52 points the night before would be rough on a body.

2. The east coast will probably be watching UCONN, but everywhere else will tune into The Jimmer.

3 & 4. Be thou not a non believer. All hail The Jimmer.

I love how no one has believed in us all tourney, but this is becoming a magical run. Even though we’re a 3 seed I still thing we’d be considered a cinderella. Especially without Davies.

I kinda disagree about the Ainge- Jimmer thing.

Ainge did something really special but it was for a different generation. Jimmer is doing something special and it’s for our generation so it only feels like it’s better.

Jimmer is a stud and probably the best BYU player to have ever played, but Ainge’s cross court layup against Notre Dame will always be my favorite play in BYU history.
