If you are going to be in Austin when BYU plays Texas, you can support Coach Detmer Friday night.
His team (St. Andrew's) will play Friday, September 9, 2011, at 7:00 PM.
Opponent: Eastside Memorial
Location: 5901 Southwest Pkwy, Austin, TX 78735
It is a home game. Detmer has a hot QB prospect who was recently offered a scholarship by THE U (not Utah, Miami).
Now we need to work with BYU to keep the fireside from conflicting.

If anybody else is going and doesn’t mind me tagging along or if anybody wants to plan a group trip out there, let’s do it! Less than 110 days until the game! The only team I like more than Texas is BYU so this game is gonna be huge!

Is it strange that I still can’t decide if I like or hate Texas? Having a few friends that are Texas fans doesn’t help either.

Outside of Utah the U of u is known as Utah.
Outside of Miami the U of M is known as “The U”.
You forgot something in your Hooked on Phonics ad though. Includes lessons on slurs and when them as well as how to taunt properly.

But just because ESPN says it doesn’t mean it’s smart or makes sense in any way. I refuse to let those clowns have the ‘u’ just because their graphic designer sucks.
Today at work (I work in SLC)
We had an orientation and a girl said she just finished up her degree at Utah. She said she went to “the U.” Another new guy, who is new from CA, said to me "Every time someone here says “the U” I think of Miami. It’s really weird." I chuckled.

I lived in the east for 10 years, know how many people I heard call Miami that?
NONE. Ever. That includes time in Georgia, both Carolinas, and Virginia.

i get a combination of both. when i google it, it says U of U, University of utah and then it says.....
