San Diego California was the scene of one of the greatest moments for BYU Sports. Jim McMahon led the most amazing comeback in college football history. The 1980 Holiday Bowl was in the bag. Eternal BYU hater Craig James scored for SMU on a 40+ yard scamper with 2:33 to put the game almost out of reach for the Cougars. Then... magic happened.
