Around SBN: NFL Owners Vote to Change Trade Deadline

Cougars in the NFL: Week 2

After last Saturday's debacle against Utah, I was looking forward to the NFL weekend to see some former-BYU stars excel on the gridiron. Unfortunately, Sunday and Monday didn't bring too much success for them either. Out of the Cougars who recorded stats, only Brett Keisel's Pittsburgh Steelers won on the weekend.

John Beck did not play again as he watched Rex Grossman start out horribly but in the end the Redskins came back on his two TD passes and great team defense. Vic So'oto is still injured for the Green Bay Packers and among those that are on teams but did not play or did not record any stats are John Denney, Chris Hoke and Bryan Kehl.

After the jump are stats for those that did record stats this week. Who do you think was the ex-BYU Player of the Week in Week 2? Vote at the end.

Pitta may have had a less than spectacular game, but

he has great hands and is proving to be a great complement to my Baltimore Ravens other 2nd year TE, Ed Dickson (Oregon) and a match-up nightmare.

Keep abreast of his progress with the Ravens over at Baltimore Beatdown.

Good luck!

No BYU vs Utah recap or post....at all???

I know it was a beatdown…and that it was embarrassing…but to act like it never happened and avoid commenting on it? wow…does this blog have any followers? Why doesn’t anyone want to talk about the game???

That's the problem

It’s one we’re trying to fix but our manager has gone AWOL so I’m trying to keep it afloat. I had to work during the BYU/Utah game so thats why I haven’t written anything about it.

Thanks for your concern, even though it wasn’t sincere.

somewhat sincere

I have just had the feeling in talking with my friends, neighbors, and coworkers that they are rolling over just like their team did on saturday. Where is the outrage? If this was any other major rivalry people would be screaming and calling for coordinators/coaches heads. I have been sincerely surprised at the lack of backlash from Cougar fans. Are there really that many fairweather fans or is there some true fanhood hiding somewhere?

I was hoping to find that here on the VanguishTheFoe blog, but maybe I will see it when your manager gets sober again.

Get a twitter account.

A lot of what you appear to be looking for is there.

Sorry to disappoint you.

My old account was lars.ON but I change it to match my Twitter handle.
