Expansion Rumor: Part 1!
A source close to the BYU athletic department has informed Vanquish the Foe that talks with the Big 12 are heating up. BYU admins have promised Big 12 Commish Chuck Neinas that they will refrain from submitting his name, or the names of his athletic directors, coaches, or players to the local LDS missionaries. This pledge is seen as a key cog in BYU's negotiation with the Big 12, as the LDS-run university refused to grant this promise to either the Big 12 or Big East during prior deliberations. A Mountain West Conference source located in San Diego noted that members of the MWC were attuned to not answering the door when the missionaries visited, even when they were home. More to follow.

Also overheard...
Can your San Diego source confirm the rumor (that I’m creating), that Brother Steve Fischer has requested an immediate discussion with 2 boys in bike helmets? I heard he’s interested as he feels a quick dunking off the court may help get his basketball team out of the Big West and into the coveted WCC? Must be nice working for an athletic department that sells you up the river to get BC$ access for the juggernaut that is SDSU football…

I'll take it
This would be nice bc we could finally have that coveted rivalry with ISU. I like the idea of playin in a big conference. Should make us more legit and provide us good competition every year.
