BYU Football Recruiting Spotlight: QB Tanner Mangum (Rivals #59)
Signing day is tomorrow! Today we will highlight BYU's highest-rated recruits of the 2012 class, both of whom will serve missions and get into action a little down the road. First today is Tanner Mangum.
Mangum is a 6-3 quarterback from Eagle, Idaho. After committing to BYU as a three-star prospect, his star (no pun intended) has continued to rise. This summer, Mangum was named MVP at the Elite 11 QB Camp and also played in Under Armour's All-American game recently. Now a four-star recruit, Mangum comes in ranked 59th in the Rivals Top 250. He drew heavy interest (and offers) from Arkansas, Boise State, Utah, and Oregon State.
Mangum led his team to the Idaho 5A state title game this year, throwing 265-392 (67.6%) for 3849 yards and 35 TDs.

Boise State didn't offer and decided to go with QB Nick Patti.
Is Mangum serving a mission?
