Podcast 56: Bill Connelly of SB Nation and Greg Wrubell
In a triple-action addition of the podcast (Episode 56), Adam chats with Bill Connelly, SB Nation college football writer and RockMNation.com writer about the college football landscape. They also discuss whether being a fan of college football is compatible with being a fan of tennis. Greg Wrubell, the voice of the Cougars, returns to the podcast to help us uncover what happened to the Cougars since the crushing loss to St. Mary's and what the turnaround means for the season and the NCAA tournament. Finally, Matt and Adam talk hoops and the 2012 football schedule. It's all available here (below the jump) or on iTunes (subscribe there!). Follow the podcast on twitter: @byu_riseshout.

I still think...
the Idaho game was never as set as people have been assuming. Don’t be surprised if those final few weeks see someone other than Idaho.

Who do you think...
it might be? or… from which conference might this mystery team be?

I really don’t have an inside track on this, there was just nothing official from either school on this. It came as a rumor, “hear BYU could host Idaho again next year,” and then places like FBSchedules.com ran with it.
I’m not saying it won’t happen, just that I don’t think it was ever set.

Either way...
it is interesting & a bit perplexing why the athletic department has yet to officially announce the schedule for 2012. When did they do it last year?

Like Greg Wrubell said, BYU might just be waiting out the release of Big 12 and Big East schedules — especially now if Boise State ends up getting into the Big East in 2012 and 2013 like is being discussed today.

Chyeah!
For shame!
No, it’s cool. I hadn’t thought of that either until Wrubell said it. Independent scheduling has to be a headache. My willingness to give concessions to the Big12 would increase every year if I was Tom Holmoe

Highest opponent win % is
2004. Calling this before you have got to it ….
Managing Editor - Vanquish The Foe
Dang. Thought USC, Boise, Utah in 2004 would have boosted that way up.
Managing Editor - Vanquish The Foe
You're probably right
Something got screwed up in my spreadsheet. 2011 is not even close to the best opponents winning percentage ever. I will hopefully have the correct answer soon. Stupid Adam.

Haha. No worries. In my head, I was thinking “Man, in 2004, BYU played three teams who finished the regular season undefeated. No way that’s not the best.”
So maybe I’m still right :-)

I’m subscribed on iTunes and I can’t find this episode yet. And thoughts for help?

Academically Ineligible
Sorry
Absolutely no idea. I’ve been able to get it through multiple platforms. Are you on a Mac? Unfortunately iTunes can be a little finicky. Are you still unable to get it?
