Today, The Mountain West Sports Network, or The Mtn, informed its employees that it will go off the air on May 31. The Mtn will be no more. To its credit, the MWC was the first conference to give a conference network a shot. Good idea, but poor execution and lack of ability to get marquee games better distribution did it in, and the network itself was very much a part of key defections from a conference that was very near earning AQ status.

Together, you joined with us to create a document that will live forever in memorializing The Mtn.
