A good Friday to you, Cougar fans. If you're up after another fantastic game of the NBA Finals, here are the articles we are reading about BYU sports this morning:
The West Coast Conference will change its conference tournament with the addition of Pacific in 2013. All 10 teams will play, with the setup being essentially an 8-team tournament with two play-in games (7 v 10, 8 v 9).
The lobby to the BYU football offices is being renovated. Looking good, right?
You've probably seen the picture of BYU commit Brayden Kearsley burning a letter from the University of Utah. If not, find it here on Saturday Blitz, with a discussion on the larger issue from our friend Kyle Kensing.
A couple more football recruiting links: RB Josh Morris, the player of the year from Rhode Island, and BYU coaches have had trouble making schedules and recruiting rules mesh when it comes to communication, so he did not come to BYU's junior day. Meanwhile, Cottonwood lineman Elijah Tupai has raised his GPA as needed and is waiting for BYU to offer.
MyDesert.com has a profile on BYU baseballers Adam Law and Brock Whitney.
And a couple in-case-you-missed-it items:
Former BYU running back Mark Atuaia was named as an assistant to the AD in student services.
The time and station for BYU at Utah on September 15 has been set: 8:00 pm MT on ESPN2.
