BYU men's volleyball defeat Lewis in straight sets

After dropping last night's match despite having been up 2-0, it was a very strong showing tonight for the Cougars. Perhaps most encouraging for BYU fans was the fact that freshman outside hitter Ben Patch played what was really his first complete match as a collegian. First three matches this season, he played scintillating first sets only to fade as the match went on. Tonight, he was error-free on 15 swings for an .800 hitting percentage as BYU cruised to victory. Next up for the Cougars is an important conference matchup with UC Irvine. The Anteaters were picked preseason to win the MPSF and the Cougars to finish second, so it's a battle of two highly-rated teams.
