Former coordinator back again.
BYU announced late Friday night that former offensive coordinator Robert Anae will indeed return to Provo to assume his former duties.
Bronco Mendenhall said Anae has a "proven record of coaching elite-level offensive production," and added that Dr. Anae's intelligence, integrity, honesty, and loyalty are surpassed by none in the business. Mendenhall finished by saying that Robert Anae was the ideal person to oversee the BYU offense.
Anae, who had spent the past two seasons in Tucson under the leadership of Rich Rodriguez, personally thanked Bronco Mendenhall, Tom Holmoe, and the BYU administration for the opportunity to return to Happy Valley.
During the past season at U of A, Anae coordinated both the offensive line and run game for the Wildcats. Rich Rodriguez spoke highly of the progress of the offensive line and Ka'deem Carey was the nation's leading rusher.
There was no mention of Brandon Doman's future in the press release.
