BYU wins second exhibition over Findlay, 90-61

BYU basketball took care of business in its second preseason exhibition on Saturday night, downing the Findlay Oilers 90-61.

Tyler Haws scored 19 points on 6-13 shooting to lead the Cougars in scoring, while Brandon Davies added 14 points and 13 rebounds in just 23 minutes of action. Brock Zylstra also scored 14 points, and Craig Cusick was 4-6 from behind the arc for 12 points.

As a team, BYU shot 46% from the field, 41% from three-point range, and 86% from the free throw line. Matt Carlino led the Cougars in assists with six. Other leading rebounders behind Davies were Josh Sharp with seven and Haws with six.

Findlay's leading scorer was Greg Kahlig with 11 points, who was the only Oiler in double digits. Findlay shot just 37% from the floor and committed 11 turnovers.

BYU opens the regular season on Friday, Nov. 9 at home against Tennessee State.
