Total stats for BYU's basketball exhibitions

BYU is shooting a high percentage and taking care of the ball, according to exhibition stats.

BYU basketball has completed its two exhibition games with a pair of wins in preparation for the regular season. The Cougars defeated Southeastern Oklahoma State, 103-57, on Oct. 26, and beat the University of Findlay on Nov. 3 by the score of 90-61.

What stands out to me is the team free throw percentage. You can probably expect field goal and three-point percentages to come down as the quality of competition increases, but free throw percentage is usually more static -- and 82.5% from the free throw line as a team is beyond excellent.

Of course, Davies may end up with the team's biggest share of free throws, given that he plays in the post. An average of 66.7% isn't terrible for a big man, but given his shooting abilities, this needs to be above 70%.

Just 10.5 turnovers per game is quite excellent as well. This is due in large part to the growth of Matt Carlino. While he isn't shooting too well, 7 assists to 1 turnover per game is amazing. If he can keep anything close to that (again, increased quality of competition), BYU will be in great shape.
