After at least some consternation over games with Utah not being officially set, the University of Utah announced its 2013 football schedule on Thursday. BYU will host Utah on Sat., September 21, 2013.
In recent weeks, BYU athletic director Tom Holmoe said he had recently let a school already contracted out of a game, and also an unofficial agreement had slipped through. Some worried the unofficial agreement was Utah, as no dates had been announced for the agreed upon games in 2013 and 2016. Now, a date is set.
That would appear to mean BYU's home game against Boise State in 2013 would be headed for Sept. 14. But according to Brian Murphy of the Idaho Statesman, BYU will host the Broncos on Oct. 26.

Also revealed today on Twitter were dates for BYU's two games with the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders. Chris Massaro, Middle Tennessee athletic director, tweeted that the 2013 game in Provo is currently scheduled for Nov. 16, and the 2014 return trip to Murfreesboro will be on Nov. 1. He noted, "Dates could always change though."
The Nov. 16 home game in 2013 would come in between road matchups against Wisconsin and Notre Dame.
