Non-revenue sports report: Fall sports in review

Despite the extreme excitement we feel for BYU football, there a many other sports that BYU excels at, many just wrapped up their seasons. Check in on some of the sports with less media coverage and see how great BYU can be.

Colorado knocks BYU out of NCAA Tournament

On Thursday afternoon the Colorado Buffaloes put an end to the BYU women's soccer season. The Cougars end with a 15-5-1 record but couldn't capitalize on their chances to advance to the sweet sixteen.

Cougars kick their way into second round.

With the 4-0 win the 19th ranked Cougars advance into the second round of the NCAA tournament. BYU dominated Weber State on both sides of the ball and will face the winner of Denver/Colorado.

BYU earns share of WCC soccer title

For the second year in a row the BYU women's soccer team takes home a share of the WCC conference title. Portland and Santa Clara also earned a share of the 2013 title.

Women's Soccer beats San Diego for fifth straight

For the fifth time in six tries the 20th ranked BYU women's soccer team has won. The 1-0 win also marks the fifth straight shut out.

6th ranked Portland knocked off by BYU.

In another week filled with shutouts, the 24th ranked women's soccer team shut down two WCC opponents on their own fields. While beating Gonzaga and the 6th ranked Pilots of Portland, the team has now shut out teams in five of their last six games.

Win in Waco!

#19 BYU Women take out the #16 Baylor Bears 2-1 in physical contest.

Cougars drop heartbreaker to Pioneers.

With less than three minutes left in the game, the #17 Cougars gave up a goal to #19 Denver to drop a defensive battle.

BYU (6) vs UC-Irvine: 0-1

BYU lost their first game of the season when the Anteaters of UC Irvine scored with under a minute left in the game. This was the Anteaters first win against the Cougars in 4 tries.


Cougars(6) vs Ducks: Draw

The 6th ranked Cougar women's soccer team went into Eugene to face a 2-4 Oregon Duck team that had been struggling on the defensive end. With the defensive game and a stellar performance from the Ducks keeper, the game ended in a 0-0 draw.
