Arizona prep star, Blair Tushaus, has committed to play for the Cougars in 2010--making a total of 22 for next year's class, the highest rated class ever to sign for BYU. Tushaus is a 3-star lineman playing for Notre Dame Preparatory in Scottsdale. This is an interesting and positive commitment for the Cougars because the heavily recruited center is a non-LDS athlete, further enhancing BYU as a school that can attract top players from all backgrounds. And though he's tearing it up in high school (not this year, though, due to a torn ACL) Tushaus is a lightweight in BYU standards--as his 270 pounds is about fifty pounds less than the 320 average across the Cougars' front line.
