Well, Fredette played - 18 minutes off the bench. But you know he's not himself when he misses two free throws. Yikes, that spleen better tone it down so Jimmer can get back to normal. Whichever lady passed on that illness would you now mind going down to Vegas and making out with Tre'Von Willis? I can think of some other guys in Albuquerque and San Diego that would be down as well.
As for Jackson Emery and company, their hearts are locked. Emery connected on five 3's and Brandon Davies was a monster off the bench notching his first career double-double (11 points, 10 rebounds) and blocking three shots.
Of course the game wasn't without flaws but an 18 point win on the road with your best player battling illness shouldn't be scoffed at just because it was Air Force. Anytime BYU holds an opponent under 50 they are going to win convincingly. This was the second lowest scoring total of the year for the Cougars (they scored just 61 in their loss to Utah State), but their defense - particularly in the second half - allowed them to win easily. Still, they'll have to play better offensively when they travel to San Diego and New Mexico at the end of the month.
