As we head into the weekend, some things have already shaken out in BYU's favor in its quest for an at-large tournament bid. With a lot of basketball left to play elsewhere, things are looking up for the Cougars dancing dreams. As we noted in our initial rooting guide, not every one of these items needs to fall BYU's way -- because BYU ended the WCC tournament on the "in" side of the bubble, a handful of breaks is all that is needed. Of the six outcomes that are seemingly decided, four have broken in BYU's favor, one against, and one is still a "wash."
Because of this, BYU is already looking much better. The Cougars moved up two spots to 45th in Joe Lunardi's S-Curve, which is four spots above the "last four in" line.
If you've been sweating, now is a time you might be able to put away your handkerchief ... but it's never bad to root for a few more breaks for insurance.
