Rise & Shout: Aug 8 Links

Good morning, Cougar fans! With fall camp in full swing, there is certainly plenty to read about on this Wednesday, August 8th:

Day five of camp concluded with a scuffle between Daniel Sorensen and Michael Alisa, which caused Bronco Mendenhall to end the day's practice with an impromptu obstacle course routine. (Read Riley Nelson's quotes in that article, by the way. #TeamRiley, if that's still a thing.) For more on the practice, here's a video interview with Mendenhall and Greg Wrubell's Cougar Tracks.

Lots of concern has arisen over the health of kicker Justin Sorensen, and Brett Richins of Deep Shades of Blue is reporting Sorensen is being advised to redshirt this season. Sorensen experiences "intense, sharp pain" after each kick, according to this piece detailing the necessary readiness of punter Riley Stephenson to step in.

Gordon Monson details how Michael Alisa might shine brightly as BYU's feature back this season.

Riley Nelson's next step to becoming great was to work on his steps, writes Jason Franchuk.

Here are a couple pieces on freshman looking to make an impact: Terenn Houk and Jamaal Williams.

Make sure to check out the season premiere of BYUtv's True Blue. That means football is close, y'all!
