During basketball season, we gave you the West Coast Walkthrough. In football season, without the tethers of conference affiliation, we will instead take you around BYU's 2012 schedule to see how each team fared.
There were some close calls and a few upsets from BYU's opponents in week two. Let's catch up!
WASHINGTON STATE (1-1)
WON 24-20 over Eastern Washington
Wazzu gave up 379 passing yards to Kyle Padron, but hung on to its 24-14 halftime lead for the first win of the Mike Leach era. But, Jeff Tuel hurt his knee in the third quarter. (Also, Coug kicker Andrew Furney nailed a 60-yard field goal to end the first half.)

Next week: vs. #22 McNeese State (2-0)
UTAH (1-1)
LOST 27-20 (OT) at Utah State
The Utes fought back after being down 13-0 in the first quarter, only to lose in overtime. Jordan Wynn left the game after injuring his left shoulder while being tackled (think Sam Bradford), the same shoulder he hurt and had surgery on last year. But, in my estimation, Utah did better with Jon Hays anyway.

UTAH STATE (2-0)
WON 27-20 (OT) over Utah.
Gary Andersen has something going in Logan. The Aggies punched the Utes in the mouth early, then held on for an overtime win. Charles E. Keeton was 22-32 for 216 yards and 2 TD in the win. Here come the Aggies.
Next week: @ Wisconsin (1-1)
OREGON STATE (1-0)
WON 10-7 over #12 Wisconsin
Oregon State took down the 12th-ranked Badgers at Reser Stadium. The Beavers held Wisconsin's offense to just 150 yards until the Badgers' final drive. Montee Ball was held to just 65 yards. It was strange to watch a team BYU physically dominated just a year ago stand up to a team like Wisconsin, but the Beavers came to play.

NOTRE DAME (2-0)
WON 20-17 over Purdue.
The Irish won a rather ugly game, hitting a final-seconds field goal to survive a comeback effort by the Boilermakers. I'd be happy with any win, though, since they didn't bye after flying home from Ireland.
