Matt Carlino Lip Syncs to Skee-Lo

BYU is on a kick with lip-syncing videos with their latest release of "I Wish" by Skee-Lo and Matt Carlino

Gregory Shamus

I think everyone was surprised with the team's opening video, Tyler Haws lip-syncing to Chicago's 1984 hit, "You're the Inspiration." I was doubly surprised to see that they released another for last week's game. And if you haven't seen it yet, don't wait a second longer.

In the most recent edition, Matt Carlino is wearing a Yankees sweatshirt, rapping Skee-Lo's 1995 hip hop single "I Wish" and wandering around a basketball court that appears to be located behind a local Provo school.

Though he does a pretty bang up job for a 30 second video, this is definitely not what we're used to seeing from BYU. Compare them to our previous season openers from the 2011-20122010-2011 and 2008-2009 seasons.

I wonder if this is just the beginning to a season of lip-syncing videos from BYU.

My wish-list of future songs?

1) I'm Blue by Eiffel 65

2) Anything by Journey (except Don't Stop Believin)

3) Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree (hopin for some creativity with this one).
