Cougars in the NFL: Week 15

It's time again to check out how our former Cougars fared over the NFL weekend.

USA TODAY Sports

This week's Monday Night Football game featured a matchup between two of the most recognizable former Cougars currently playing in the NFL. Dennis Pitta saw some action again in just his second week back in the lineup this season, as he and the Baltimore Ravens faced off against Ziggy Ansah and the Detroit Lions. Let's take a closer look at how these two former Cougars, as well as others. performed this week.

Dennis Pitta (Ravens): In an exciting Monday night matchup, Dennis Pitta and the Raven's were able to escape Detroit with an 18-16 victory. Pitta contributed with 2 receptions for 24 yards. Look for Joe Flacco and the Ravens offense to turn to Pitta more often down the stretch of the season, as he continues to gel with the offense coming off his hip injury.

Ziggy Ansah (Lions): Ansah was battling a shoulder injury all of last week, but was listed as active for Monday night's game versus the Ravens. Ansah posted no statistics this week.

Austin Collie (Patriots): After being recently re-signed by the Patriots, Austin Collie saw action in the Patriot's 24-20 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday. Collie had 2 receptions for 25 yards, one reception which was for 19 yards.

John Denney (Dolphins): Long snapper John Denney, the most tenured player on the Dolphins roster, posted no statistics this week.

Hebron Fangupo (Steelers): Fangupo posted 1 tackle this week in the Steelers 30-20 victory over the Bengals.

Bryan Kehl (Redskins): Out for the season

Brett Keisel (Steelers): Did not play (foot).

Dallas Reynolds (Giants): Did not play.

Be sure to check back next week to see how Pitta, Collie, Ansah, and the rest of the group fared over the NFL weekend.
