BYU announces home-and-home series with San Jose State

Today Brigham Young University announced a Home-and-Home series with the Spartans of San Jose State University. The first game will be played in San Jose, CA. on November 7^th, 2015 with the return date at Lavell Edwards Stadium on Oct. 28, 2017.

These meetings will be the 17^th and 18^th meetings between the schools dating back to 1946. In the most recent meeting, 2012, the Spartans beat the Cougars in San Jose by a score of 20-14. This game came down to the wire with Riley Nelson losing a fumble, just outside the Spartan 20, with 1:20 left on the clock. The Spartans ended the season 11-2 and finished 21st in both the major polls.

The Spartans lead this series 10-6. The Spartans are recent additions to the Mountain West Conference and have played at Spartan Stadium, which seats 30,456, since 1993. Previously a member of the Western Athletic Conference, starting in 1996, San Jose State is a program on the rise. Game times and broadcasting plans have yet to be announced.
