If you're still looking for some good hors d'oeuvres for this afternoon's game, this is my recipe for victory. It's a pineapple salsa recipe that will knock your socks off for this week's game.
Pineapple Salsa
This is a great snack for a hot early season football game. Plus, it is easy to make. The sweet pineapple is very refreshing, especially if you have time to chill it. Add jalapenos to adjust to your heat level. If you like it spicy, add some more. If you like it mild, withhold some. Even if you don't like cilantro it still makes a nice garnish. The key to this recipe is lots of taste testing to make sure it is just right!
Ingredients:
2 20 oz. cans crushed pineapple
1 4 oz. can diced jalapeno peppers
½ diced red onion
¼ cup chopped cilantro
1 bag of your favorite tortilla chips
Directions:
Combine the ingredients in a serving bowl.
Prep time:
10 minutes
Cost:
About $8
This is about what it should look like.
Want a guarantee for the game? You will run out of pineapple salsa long before time on the clock will.
