Bye weeks make people forget. They have a set amount of votes and are going to put their money on the teams everyone's talking about. No one's talking about BYU during a Bye.
Where we had a somewhat solid standing at 32 the week before, we didn't warrant any significant votes this week. Though it doesn't look like Texas had any help on that end either (considering they lost to Ole Miss). Other rankings worthy of note are Texas A&M dropping from 6 to 10 with their loss to Alabama. Michigan dropped four spots, and 2 previously unranked teams joined the party: Arizona St. (23) and Texas Tech (25).

Things are looking up for us in the Coaches' Poll though. 8 leftovers were tossed to us somewhere down the line, but we'll take that attention! That's 3 more than Boise and Utah State, and presumably 8 more than Utah. We obviously have a lot more to prove if we want to make it anywhere on this chart (67 point increase at a minimum). At least we're still making an impression here though.
