Just over a year ago our beloved Vanquish the Foe staff had a makeover.  The previous staff left to pursue other opportunities and to provide new opportunities to a new group of writers.  In that year we have continued to build on the foundation set by the previous administration and have enjoyed the interactions and interest with our followers.  Today we are lucky enough to announce that a few members of the previous staff have agreed to return to VTF as we continue to build it into the premier site for everything BYU.

Many of you know, and follow, these talented individuals and know that they will be a tremendous addition to our staff.  They will continue to provide the excellent analysis and insights that you have grown to expect from them, so join with the current staff in welcoming back Brett Hein, Steve Pierce, and Jake Welch!

Brett Hein

Brett has written about BYU sports for various online outlets since 2009. Brett covers minor league baseball and high school sports for the Standard-Examiner. He is a graduate of Weber State and a former SB Nation news desk writer. One of his favorite BYU memories is watching from the press box as James Dye housed a kickoff return. Follow him on Twitter @bhein3.

Steve Pierce

Steve Pierce loves BYU basketball more than most people love their children (which is fitting, as he doesn't have any of his own quite yet.) He has covered the program for a variety of online outlets, including this one, since 2012 — always with his unique blend of analysis, passion, energy and humor. Steve most recently served as Basketball Editor for Loyal Cougars, but he is excited to return to the friendly confines of Vanquish The Foe. You can follow his all-caps rants and prolific live-tweeting at @PostJimmer.

Jake Welch

Jake Welch has dedicated the better part of his life to BYU sports, even though the football team denied the all-conference left tackle a scholarship in 2005. He has been writing, podcasting and pontificating on BYU sports since 2009 on various corners of the internet. For his #HotSportsTakes, thoughts on early 90's hip-hop and rants about LA traffic you can follow him on Twitter at @BYUAllBlue.

Make sure to follow them on twitter as well as the others writers on our fantastic staff.  We look forward to providing you the best information available and look for the great coverage of BYU sports to only get better!
