About the game
BYU Hockey enters its second game of the season after dropping its first game 9-4 to Weber State.
The Cougars had a rough start to the 2014-15 campaign as they trailed 5-1 after the 1st period. The Cougars continued to fight as they picked up their intensity in finishing their checks. BYU held its ground the final 2 periods on the strength of goaltender Jared Bussell's 56 saves and the attacking play of Axel Boyer and Nick Bartholomew who each scored 2 goals.
The Cougars will look to build on their late game success and avoid the penalty box against the Utes.
The University of Utah comes into Peaks Ice Arena with a 2-0 record after defeating Weber State 6-3 and Utah State 4-0 last weekend. Utah was the Pac-8 conference champions last season and lost a 1-game playoff to San Jose State that would have placed the Utes in the final 16 at the ACHA Division 2 Nationals. The Utes look to make Nationals this year as the University of Utah hosts the event.
The Utes skate hard and will look to use their speed to get shots on net.
It should be a great game! Don't miss the action and get involved in the conversation by using #BYUHockey on twitter.
