For Lexi Eaton the week ended with her scoring 61 points and having yet another career scoring night. Although it is impressive each time she does it, this week it took a back seat to another incredible accomplishment. With the Cougars win on Thursday against Pepperdine, Coach Jeff Judkins earned win number 300 in his career. Putting that in perspective, if the season had ended with the win, Judkins would have averaged almost 21.5 wins per season over his 14 years. Based on the current play of his team, this number will just continue to grow as he continues to build on his BYU legacy.

With the Cougars being home for the two games last week, they took care of business and didn't look to have any trouble. Both games were double-digit wins as the Cougars continue to improve as a team and now sit 19-5 on the year and 11-2 in the WCC. With the wins the Cougars take sole possession of 2nd place in the conference. With another five game win streak going, the Cougars have now won 11 of their last 12 games.

Win over Pepperdine

Lexi Eaton once again had a career night as she led the Cougars in a rout of the Pepperdine Waves. With 37 points and 14 rebounds, both career highs, Eaton led the Cougars to a 77-58 victory. The Waves started the scoring early but the teams kept pace until Kylie Maeda hit a shot to put the Cougars up 20-17, after which the Cougars never relinquished the lead. Eaton would score the next eight points for the Cougars as they built their lead to eight. The Cougars would take a 10 point lead into the half. Behind a small run by Micalee Orton to start the second half, the Cougars built a 23 point lead at 64-41 before allowing the Waves to pull within 19 by the end of the game. Morgan Bailey added 12 points and eight rebounds in the win, Makenzi Morrison added 10 points and five assists. Maeda led the Cougars with eight assists.

Win over Loyola Marymount

Morgan Bailey and Lexi Eaton once again stole the show in the win against the Lions as they led the Cougars to a 74-59 win. Bailey scored 20 points and 12 rebounds as she recorded her 12th double-double of the year. Eaton scored 24 points and eight rebounds even with facing second half foul trouble. The Cougars put the Lions away early as they built a double-digit lead halfway through the first half and extended the lead to 15 when Kylie Maeda went coast to coast in the final seconds of the half. The Cougars built up their lead to 25 before Eaton went to the bench, allowing the Lions to pull within 13, but Bailey wouldn't let them get any closer. Bailey scored the last six points for the Cougars as they made sure the Lions walked out with a loss.
