If you were worried that logistical challenges would threaten another pause in the Holy War rivalry, you’re in luck. Per a university release, the Cougars and Utes will battle at least two more times.

Per both schools, BYU and Utah have added games in 2021 and 2022, to go with the games they’ve already scheduled through 2020. BYU and Utah will face off in Provo on September 11, 2021, and in Salt Lake City on September 3, 2022.

These dates continue a trend of BYU and Utah meeting relatively early in the season. Only the 2018 matchup, which is scheduled to occur on November 18, 2018, will happen later in the year.

Now that BYU appears to be an independent for the foreseeable future, look for even more schedule announcements to be dropped relatively soon. After all, BYU added a home and home with Minnesota just yesterday.

An extension of the Holy War is good for BYU, Utah and all of college football. Congrats to everybody who figured out how to continue to make this work.
