Episode 24 of Cougs on Cougs begins with a quote from one of our heroes, coaching legend Pat Summitt, who passed away this morning at the age of 64. She knew a thing or two about what it takes to win, and her presence in the college basketball world will be very missed. No doubt her words and coaching philosophy will continue to inspire future generations of winners.

This week we introduce a new fan-centered segment called 3 Things, where we invite a fan to tell us three things they are looking forward to seeing or doing during this upcoming year of BYU sports. As our first guest, we invited BYU Football superfan and tailgating expert Garrett McClintock to share his 3 Things, which include an exciting competition coming to the tailgating lot in September. We hope you’re all making plans to tailgate with us this season—it’s one of the best fan experiences you can have, and we want you to join in the fun!

Our Cougs and Correspondents segment returns with a couple of special correspondents, Jess’s parents—Len and Angela Schroath, who give us their report on the BYU Football fireside held in Eagle, Idaho over the weekend. Listen to find out what speakers Coach Ben Cahoon and quarterback Tanner Mangum shared with the members of Tanner’s hometown.

And, as always, we round up this week’s news from the BYU social mediasphere in our Talk of the Town segment, including a rare Taysom Hill sighting and a potential new mascot for the BYU Basketball team.
