They're back! BYU Women's Soccer season is officially underway as game one on the road against Washington State is in the books. It took two overtime periods to do it, but BYU was able to come out victorious 2-1.
It did not come easy for the Lady Cougs as the game was a defensive battle all night. Washington State scored first and led at halftime 1-0. It was not until the 77th minute when Ashley Hatch gave BYU their first goal of the season to tie it at 1 apiece.
The game went back and forth from there until the second overtime when Ashley Hatch delivered again to give BYU the victory.
OT game-winner for @ash_hatch33 in the 5th minute of the 2nd OT; Wash State 1 @byusoccer_w 2 (F-2OT). Great comeback win for the Cougs!

BYU is currently ranked 16 in the nation and returns all 11 starters from last year. In other words, this squad should be legit.
