Well, BYU fans, we’ve made it to the first week of August! Fall Camp for BYU Football starts in a mere two days. Two days! To get you ready, we interview Laura Trinnaman, mother of one of BYU’s newest wide receivers, four-star recruit, Jonah Trinnaman. Originally out of American Fork High School, Trinnaman played two years at Snow College before signing with BYU. Last year, he averaged 17.1 yards per reception and 33.9 yards per kick return. Jonah is poised to burst onto the BYU Football scene and make an immediate impact, yet he is still relatively unknown among BYU fans. We talked with Laura about why Jonah chose BYU over other high-profile schools, what makes him a special player on the field, and what he’s like outside of football. Trust us, you’ll want to get to know your new favorite player, Jonah Trinnaman!
As you know, Mary and Jess share a love of pop culture, and nothing is higher on our list than Harry Potter. July 31 was the birthday of author JK Rowling and her creation, Harry Potter. It was also the release of the most recent installment of the story, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. In conjunction with this auspicious day, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity for a Cougs and Culture segment in which we act as the Sorting Hat to place BYU players and coaches in one of the four Hogwarts houses: Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin. If you don’t know much about Harry Potter, we explain the basics for you. If you are a Harry Potter fanatic like us, we want to hear your opinion! Is Tanner a Gryffindor? Which players belong in Slytherin house? Who are our favorite Hufflepuffs? Help us settle where Taysom belongs! Watch the episode and then weigh in on Facebook, Twitter or in the comments.
We combine two of my favorite things on this week's @cougsoncougs: Harry Potter and BYU sports. Tune in tomorrow! pic.twitter.com/NfmFhO9I4c

In this episode we also announce the winner of our Big 12 Promposal contest! Watch to see some of our favorite entries and find out who wins the signed photo of Taysom Hill’s Leap of Faith. (Spoiler: It wasn’t SoulKix, but we love this video we made as an entry and promised we’d embed it here for your viewing pleasure.)
