It’s GAMEWEEK on Cougs on Cougs, and we could not be more hyped! Finally, college football is back and there is an actual BYU Football game Saturday. Many of the questions we’ve had over the offseason were answered this past week, including who our starting quarterback will be, who the team captains are, and who earned starting spots on the roster. We give you our reactions to these revelations and get you ready to rise and shout on Saturday!

We know many of you will be making the trek to Glendale to watch our BYU Cougars take on the Arizona Wildcats (cheer loud for us). For each away game of the season, we’ll invite a fan from that area to give you tips on what to do before or after the game, including where to get the best local cuisine, in our new segment “Along the Trail to Fame and Glory.” This week, we talk with Arizona resident Logan Bitter who tells us where to go for some family friendly fun, and where to grab the best bite to eat in the Phoenix/Glendale area (both Mexican and non-Mexican options)! We also ask Logan about where to tailgate leading up to kickoff (details here) and get his gameday prediction.

As always, we round up this week’s news from the BYU social mediasphere in our Talk of the Town segment, including Coach Sitake welcoming the incoming BYU freshman class, which BYU Basketball player has been choreographing moves for the ROC, the return of Boney Fuller, and seven BYU Football seniors named to the Reese’s Senior Bowl watch list (including all four newly-named captains)!
