After Kai Nacua’s interception in the endzone (his second interception of the game) BYU marched down the field to take the lead. Taysom Hill faked the hand off to Jamaal Williams and beat the defensive end to get outside. Many have speculated that Taysom has lost a step and doesn’t look as explosive as he once did, but he looked plenty fast during this touchdown run. Watch Hill tip-toe down the sideline to stay in bounds and score BYU’s first touchdown of the game.
Check it out:
BYU’s first play of the game resulted in a pick six and painfully reminded Cougar fans of last years Las Vegas bowl game. Since then, BYU has forced 4 turnovers (2 fumbles and 2 interceptions). Many predicted a defensive battle going into this game, but no one could have foreseen the defenses forcing this many turnovers. Utah scored a touchdown just before half and takes a 14-13 lead into halftime.
