Cougars on Cougars is back with a bang for Episode 50! Thanks to our viewers who have been with us since the beginning and to those who have joined us along the way.
After Christmas and New Year’s, with a lot of Cougar Sports sprinkled in between, there is much to discuss. Jess and Mary get right into it with a look back at BYU’s 24-21 win over Wyoming in the Dec. 21 Poinsettia Bowl. Trust us, you want to relive this one more time in Couch Coaching, because now football is gone. Seniors stepped up, rain interfered, it turned into another thriller... We touch on that and more in the episode above.

Then it’s time to look forward. New year, new goals for BYU Football and Basketball. We asked you what yours were for and share some responses. Then Jess and Mary share a resolution each for football, basketball and fans. Here’s hoping for less negativity, more consistent defense for basketball, overdue wins over some football rivals and more. Watch the episode to hear all of our resolutions and then tweet us yours!
Our question for you: What are you most looking forward to from BYU sports in 2017?

It wasn’t all football over Christmas break — Our hoopsters went an impressive 4-0 and started conference play. Jess and Mary take to Coaching from the Couch for the Cougars’ wins over Santa Clara and LMU. The 89-59 win over Santa Clara may have been their best outing yet and the come-from-behind win over LMU revealed some serious tenacity in this young team. Watch the episode to hear what we think went right and what still needs some improving. How ‘bout those refs in the LMU game? Ugh.

As you can imagine, a week off means an absolutely loaded Talk of the Town. Our athletes and the BYU mediasphere were busy over the holidays. We start with some amazing Christmas gifts that members of Cougar Nation got including a sweet snapback and dining room table that we all need.

Then we get into football and the special appearance Taysom made at the Poinsettia Bowl that you may have missed. Lots to discuss in basketball, like some gentle team mocking of the LP3 and an away game that felt more like a home game because every game is, right? And don’t forget to vote for Coach Rose daily in the Infiniti Coaches’ Charity Challenge.

We wrap up Talk of the Town with some Jimmer news. He’s a CBA All-Star and you’ll have to see it to believe it, but he almost got in a fight! #AngryJimmer.
