With one game left until BYU wraps up a disappointing season, Head Coach Kalani Sitake addressed the media before BYU’s season finale versus Hawaii.
Kalani said that the team will leave Wednesday for Honolulu so that the team can enjoy Thanksgiving and the beach before focusing on the Warriors.
Hawaii (3-8) is coming off a 38-0 loss to Utah State, making Saturday a battle of 3-win teams.
Kalani talked a lot about preparing for the future, including recruiting implications this season has had. When asked if this season has turned off recruits, Kalani said the following: “I can’t say that it (the poor season) hasn’t. But I don’t think that it has been a catastrophe, as far as recruiting goes."
More will be learned in the coming months, as BYU is in strong pursuit of blue chip prospects Tanner McKee, Brandon Kaho, Merlin Robertson, and a handful of other talented others in the 2018 class.
