WE GET BAMA (in basketball, thank goodness).
In what will be one of BYU’s toughest games of the year, BYU travels to Brooklyn to face off against #25 Alabama (4-0). The Crimson Tide are coming off a last second win over UT-Arlington, the same team that beat BYU by 14 last Saturday.
Alabama is led one by one of the best players in the nation in point guard Collin Sexton, who will likely be a top 10 pick in the 2018 NBA draft. Sexton is coming off a 29 point performance versus UT-Arlington, where he made clutch shots late to put the Crimson Tide on top.
Along with St Mary’s and Gonzaga, Alabama will be one of the most talented teams BYU plays this season, and provides one of the few chances for a quality win that would resonate come March.
KenPom gives BYU a 25% chance to win, meaning BYU will need to be at their best if they hope to pull off the upset.
