Cougs on Cougs is here to get you through another BYU Football loss. We know it’s tough to watch this team struggle, but we also know you’re loyal, strong, and true and will keep supporting, and we’ll be there right along with you!

In Coaching from the Couch, we discuss a couple of things that are still going wrong for the Cougars, even at this late point of the season. What are our biggest gripes? Is it red-zone penalties? Dropped passes? Turnovers? Play calling? We each picked one of these things that we’re hoping will be better in the next few games. And actually, this game was closer than some of the others, and we both have something we felt went better this week. It may be hard to see at times, but improvement is being made!

Friday night, BYU Football travels to Las Vegas to take on the UNLV Rebels at Sam Boyd Stadium. Despite the team’s record, we know a lot of you are traveling to the entertainment capital of the world, and this segment is for you! Lifelong BYU fan and Las Vegas native (and Jess’s awesome aunt) Lavinia joined us for another Along the Trail segment all about what to do and where to eat in Las Vegas. Luckily, she has some fantastic free options to do in and around the city, including seeing the amazing graffiti in the Art District and visiting the brand new Healing Garden for the victims of the shooting that happened on October 1 at Route 91 Harvest on the Las Vegas Strip. And since it’s Veteran’s Day on Saturday, all the National Parks are free!

If you’re looking for mouth-watering food recommendations, Lavinia has you covered! She gives us her tips on the best buffet deals, where to find delicious ice cream sandwiches, and what to get at BabyStacks. We really wish we were able to make the trip because everything Lavinia told us about sounds incredible!

And if you are in the Las Vegas area already, or if you’re traveling for the game, make sure to stop by the BYU Alumni tailgate, organized by one of our favorite Cougar fans, Pat Hammond!

Talk of the Town this week is Halloween-themed as we recap some of our favorite costumes from the BYU Football trunk-or-treat. We loved Mo Langi as Biggie Smalls, Brayen El-Bakri as Bane from The Dark KNight Rises, and of course, our fearless Athletic Director Tom Holmoe as The Mad Hatter.

Coming up, BYU Basketball plays its last exhibition game on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. MST against Colorado College, BYU Football plays at UNLV on Friday at 8:30 p.m. MST, and BYU Basketball kicks off the season at home on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. MST against Mississippi Valley State! Lots to look forward to this week. Go Cougs!
