BYU has added a solid receiving weapon to its pass-catching group with the addition of Brayden Cosper, who signed to play for the Cougars during the early signing period for the 2018 recruiting class.
Cosper may be the best receiver prospect in the state. He’s a three-star recruit from Bingham High with a 247Sports composite rating of .8205.
As a senior, he caught 43 balls for 854 yards (19.86 yards per reception) and hauled in 9 touchdowns, according to statistics from the Deseret News.
The 6-foot-4 athlete was the top receiver for a Miners team that finished 13-0 and claimed Utah’s 6A state championship. He also held offers from Air Force, Navy, Nevada and Weber State.
According to Scout.com, Cosper will play in 2018 and is leaning towards not serving a LDS mission, meaning BYU would have him immediately for 4 straight years.
