BYU Football Recruiting: 3-Star OL Connor Pay commits to Cougars

Local prospect stays home

Connor Pay committed to the Cougars back before his junior season, and the big offensive lineman made his signing to BYU official today.

One of the top signees in BYU’s class, the 6’6”, 290 lbs offensive tackle from Lone Peak HS (Utah) signed with BYU over in-state rivals Utah and Utah State. Pay has a relentless motor and has anchored the left side of Lone Peak’s offensive line for years. He blocked for 2017 BYU signee Jackson McChesney (RB) prior to this season, and led the way once again for one of Utah’s best teams in 2018.

Connor’s father, Gary, was an interior offensive lineman for BYU in 1986 and during the 1989-1992 season.

247 sports has Pay as a 3-star prospect and the 13th best player in the state of Utah.

Pay is LDS and is planning on serving a mission before enrolling in school.
