Tanner Baker, a 6-5, 230 pound tight end prospect from Allatoona High in Acworth, Georgia, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for BYU.
Baker also played defensive end during his prep career in California and Georgia, but is expected to play tight end during his time at BYU.
Baker received a 78.57 score from 247Sports, making him a 2-star prospect. He also received interest from 7 other schools, including Wake Forest, Virginia, Navy, Ball State and Utah State.
Tanner is the first official signee of what is expected to be a big tight end class for BYU.
